Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 09/14/2022 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. There were 37 children present, ranging in ages from 2 years old to 5 years old with 7 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of records and interviews, the center failed to ensure that staff completed annually a minimum of 16 hours of training appropriate to the age of children in care.
Evidence:
1. Staff #4 did not have any annual training hours on file for August 2021 to August 2022 training year. Staff #6 confirmed that Staff #4 did not complete 16 hours of annual training for the August 2021 to August 2022 training year.
2. Staff #5 had 12 hours of annual training for the August 2021 to August 2022 training year on file. Staff #6 confirmed that Staff #5 did not complete 16 hours of training for the August 2021 to August 2022 training year.
Plan of Correction: Upon review of staff files, Staff #5 will be sure to complete 16 hours of continuing education requirements per licensing regulations by August 1 of 2023. Staff #4 will complete 16 hours of continuing education requirements per licensing regulations by March 1 of 2023.
