Inspector Notes

Conducted an unannounced inspection at 11:40am. Observed 24 children + 2 staff at the start of the inspection, and a 3rd staff person arrived during the inspection. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed eating lunch, playing table games + with blocks, and coloring. The classrooms were well supplied with equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance found with standards and laws reviewed. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@doe.virginia.gov

Based on observations made, it was determined that the current license was not posted in the facility. Evidence: A previously issued license, which expired on 10/1/21, was posted on the bulletin board.
Plan of Correction: If management cannot find the license issued in 2021, a written request will be submitted to the inspector for another copy.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-P
Based on records reviewed, it was determined that required information was not documented on a written injury report. Evidence: 1 of 3 written injury reports did not include 2 signatures, as there were none.
Plan of Correction: The appropriate signatures were written during the inspection.
