his inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and a virtual tour of the program.

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on 04/04/2022 and concluded on 04/06/2022. There were 18 children present with 5 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the vendor did not ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within 90 days of employment.

Evidence:
1. The record of staff #1 (DOH: 9/20/2021) contained documentation of the Preservice training dated 1/11/2022.
2. Administration acknowledged that the training was not completed within the required time frame.
