Inspector Notes
An unannounced inspection was conducted on 07/10/2023 from approximately 2:55 pm to 4:00 pm in response to a complaint received on 7/10/2023 regarding allegations in the area of staff-to-children ratio and group size requirements. A total of 106 children were in care with 18 staff supervising.
Observation of classrooms were conducted and an interview with the center director was conducted. The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation supports noncompliance in the area of staff-to-child ratio requirements, the complaint is determined to be valid.
Please complete the plan of correction and date to be corrected for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. You will need to specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Just writing the word corrected is not acceptable. Your plan of correction must contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures.

During an interview with the director it was stated, ?This morning was a bit chaotic and we were over.? The director stated, that on 7/10/2023 at approximately 7:40 am, toddler room B (16 months-24 months) was out of ratio with 6 children being supervised by 1 teacher for approximately 10 minutes. One additional staff was required.

The director stated, that on 7/10/2023 at approximately 8:10 am, the prep room (3-4 year olds) was out of ratio with 12 children being supervised by 1 teacher for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. One additional staff was required.
