Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 7/10/2024 from 9:20am to 10:20am with the provider. There were 2 children in care, ranging in age from 4 to 7-years-old, for a total of 3 points. Children were observed watching age-appropriate shows and eating a breakfast snack. 2 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid and the provider has current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The Breakfast Snack served was pancakes and fruit. The outdoor play area, programming area, first aid kit, flashlight, weather-band radio, 2 children?s records and carbon monoxide detector were observed. The emergency drill log, , attendance, policies and menu were also reviewed. There were no children?s medications onsite. Please complete the "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" areas on the Violation Notice for each violation cited and return to me by 5pm on 7/19/24. Based on observation, the provider did not ensure equipment and materials used by children was free from hazards such as sharp edges or points.

Evidence: On the outdoor play area, towards the back by the playhouses, there was a pointed stump approximately 16 in. tall and 7 in. wide accessible to the children.
Plan of Correction: Cut stump off.
