Inspector Notes

A Religiously Exempt Child Day Center Code Compliance renewal inspection was completed on March 20, 2024 from 9:40am to approximately 11:35am. There were 31 children present and eight staff members. A sample size of five children?s records were reviewed and one staff member at the facility. Additional staff members files were recorded and in compliance per the last inspection. Child and staff interactions were observed during the entire time of the inspection. First aid Kits and Emergency preparedness drill logs were observed. Transportation vehicles were also observed. Inspector was able to view bottle feeding, infant feeding, free play, and instructional time. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The violation is listed on the violation notice issued to the center and were reviewed with the site director at the exit interview.

Based on record review and interview it was determined that the RECDC did not ensure that all children in the center are in compliance with the provisions of ? 32.1-46 regarding the immunization of children against certain diseases

Evidence:

1.Child #2 (date of enrollment 3/12/24) did not have immunization records
2.Staff #1 confirmed that the immunization record for child #2 was not in their record.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: the director will obtain the immunization record for the child.
