Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site code compliance inspection was initiated on May 27, 2025 and completed on May 27, 2025. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 6/13/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

REPEAT VIOLATION
All areas on the premises accessible to children are free from obvious injury hazards. A can of disinfectant wipes, alcohol wipes and hand sanitizer with warning labels, ?Keep out of reach of children,? were unlocked on a shelf within reach of children.
Plan of Correction: The disinfectant wipes, alcohol wipes, and hand sanitizer were immediately removed from children's reach. All hazardous items are now stored in locked
cabinets. Staff have been reminded to keep all such items secured to ensure children's safety and prevent violations.

The program is required to submit to Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and implement a plan to test potable water for lead. The center did not have evidence of a testing plan submitted to the Virginia Department of Health (VDH).
Plan of Correction: Water was taken to Metropitan Solutions for Potable water testing concerning lead.After completion, report will be sent to Virginia Department of Health and
VDSS.
