Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on May 30, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. Upon arrival, there were 27 children, ages 1 through 5, in the care of 5 staff.

The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 children and 4 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on observation the center served a food that is considered to be a potential choking hazard to children under the age of three.

Evidence:

1. The two-year old class room was observed eating lunch.
2. Children were served hotdogs that were not cut length ways and then cut again into pieces.
3. Staff confirmed the hotdogs were not cut according to policy.
