Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety initial inspection was conducted on April 5, 2023 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A Religiously Exempt monitoring inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements.

Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Based on inspection, the Center failed to ensure pillows and filled comforters are not used by children less than 12 months of age while sleeping resting including quilts, sheepskins or stuffed toys.

EVIDENCE:
In the infant classroom, Licensing Inspector observed boppy pillows used in all infant cribs.
Plan of Correction: Boppy pillows were removed from the infant cribs. Staff will discontinue using pillows with children under 2 years old

Based on inspection, the Center failed to ensure the diapering area has access to a sink with running water.

EVIDENCE:
In the infant classroom, the diapering area did not have access to a sink with running water. Sink was inoperable.
Plan of Correction: Director has ordered portable sink to replace the inoperable sink.

Based on inspection, the Vendor failed to us a foot-operated storage system to dispose diapers; system when used neither the staff member's hand nor the soiled diaper touches an exterior surface of the storage system during disposal.

EVIDENCE:
Licensing Inspector observed staff member using a diaper disposal unit with their hands. Storage system was equipped to be used without the staff members hands.
Plan of Correction: Staff will use a foot operated trash can to dispose dirty diapers.
