Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted on November 13, 2023 from 10:15 A.M.-1:15 P.M. There were 44 children present, ranging in ages from seven months to five years of age, with 12 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records, seven staff records, and three agent background checks were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, review of documentation, and interview, the center administered prescription medication that was not maintained in the original labeled container as required.

Evidence:
1. In Pre-K 1, Child #5 had a prescription medication, (Albuterol Sulfate), that was not in the original labeled container.
2. Staff #4 had documented that the medication was administered to Child #5 on 11/13/2023.
3. Staff #4 verified that the medication was not in the original labeled container.
Plan of Correction: The parent was notified and provided and the original packaging as of 11/13/2023. The medication procedures were reviewed with all MAT certified staff, specifically intake and proper maintence of on-site medication.
