Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:10am-1:30pm. There were 72 children (infants-5yrs.) directly supervised by 13 staff. The physical plant, staff records, children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, making paper planes, charting types of farm animals, reading books, playing outside, and eating lunch. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an ample supply of materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Evidence:
Staff in the toddler room did not wash hands after finishing changing a diaper.

Based on record review, written record of children's minor injuries are missing required information.

Evidence:
3 of 6 accident reports are missing time parent notified.
5 of 6 accident reports missing action to prevent reoccurrence.
Plan of Correction: There is a new form. We will remind staff.
