Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews (if applicable) and a virtual tour of the program (if applicable).

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on September 20, 2021 and concluded on September 21, 2021. There were 79 children present with 15 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of four children's records, two do not contain the required documentation.
Evidence:
The record for staff #1 and #2 do not contain documentation of completing the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within the first 90 days of employment.
Plan of Correction: Staff will competed the training within their first 90 days. Staff #1 and #2 will complete the training and documentation will be placed in their record.
