Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was completed on 10/25/22. 30 children were in care with 5 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and three staff files were reviewed at the main office office on 09/29/22. The inspection started at 11:05 a.m. 12:05 p.m.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
The center failed to collect all the required information for each child enrolled.
Evidence:
1. Child #5 had a diagnosed food allergy and there was no written care plan for the child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
Plan of Correction: staff will obtain a written care plan that meets the requirement from the parent and physician.
