Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review and interviews..

A renewal inspection was initiated on 10/18/2021 and concluded on 10/25/2021. The Director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 6 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review, the center has not maintained documentation of a monthly practice evacuation drill.
Evidence: The log of fire drills submitted by the school Director does not contain documentation of a fire drill for the month of January 2020. The Director stated that those drills would have been conducted prior to their employment with the school and they cannot confirm if a drill was practiced.
Plan of Correction: I have set up an emergency drill schedule to include one fire drill a month and two shelter in place drills, in spring/summer and one in fall/summer and one lockdown drill.
