Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal Inspection took place on April 9, 2024 between the hours of approximately 9:50 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. There were 5 classrooms observed with a total of 45 children with 7 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing outside, making rain clouds, painting and other organized activities. Positive interaction between staff and children were observed. A complete inspection of the physical plant, fire drill log, and emergency procedures was conducted during this inspection. 3 staff records and 5 children's records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, the center did not ensure that equipment of the center, outside, were maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

Evidence: There were three tricycles on the playground that were rusted. One tricycle's seat had peeling plastic. One tricycle had broken plastic pieces with sharp edges.
Plan of Correction: The tricycles were removed.
