Inspector Notes
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted today. A total of 22 children with 3 staff and 3 co-op parents were present along with one staff floater and the Director. 3 classrooms were in attendance, all 3 rooms were observed along with the music room and the outdoor play area. The center was found clean and maintained. The classrooms were decorated for the spring with tie dye artwork, a "friend's tree" and a community bulletin board which included children's favorite areas in their communities. One class had transitioned to the music room where they were sitting in a circle taking turns with the "Canjo" a homemade musical instrument made out of a tin can and strings. Both children's, volunteer and staff records were reviewed. Documentation was found organized and complete. No medication needs at this time and no current identified food allergies. The children were observed washing their hands before morning snack. Towards the end of the program, some of the children transitioned outside to the blacktop area. Staff and volunteers were observed strategically positioned to provide appropriate supervision. This inspection occurred between 10am and 12pm. Thank you for your cooperation today.
