Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was completed on August 6. The on-site inspection began at 9:15 am and ended at 10:25 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were (8) children present and (3) caregivers; the point total was (22). The inspector reviewed (5) children?s records and (5) caregiver and household member record. This inspection included
? document review (children, caregiver and household records, emergency drill logs,
? tour of the facility,
? interviews,
? observations (children eating morning snack, handwashing, and fingerpainting)

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a review of caregiver records, the family day home has not obtained background checks every five years.
Evidence: Caregiver records were reviewed and found the following background checks have not been updated every 5 years.
Caregiver #3, last fingerprint results dated 2/27/2018 and central registry results dated 4/10/2018.
Plan of Correction: The caregiver will make an appointment for fingerprinting and fill out the form for the central registry.
