Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including phone contacts and documents review. On 12/15 a virtual tour of three classrooms, including the remodeled infant room and the medication room was held.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 12/02/21 and concluded on 12/15/21. The director was contacted by phone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 92 children present, ranging in ages from infant on up, with 28 staff present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 6 child records and 8 staff records were reviewed. The inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on interview and record review, there was a child in care for whom emergency medication was prescribed and there was not a staff person present when the child was in care.
Evidence:
1. Child #6 was in care at the center when a staff person was not present who meets the requirements in subdivision 1 of this subsection. (MAT training)
