Hazardous substances must be in a locked place that prevents access by children.
A bottle of disinfectant spray was in a low unlocked cabinet in the three-year-old classroom, within reach of children.

Plan of Correction: The cabinet door with direct access to the disinfectant spray was locked.. An adjacent cabinet door which allowed for secondary access was unlocked. An interior was has been build inside the cabinet compartment which prevents secondary access from any and all adjoining cabinets.

Staff shall request at least annually parent confirmation that the required information in the child's record is up to date. Up-to-date information is required to be requested from the parent for each child's record at least annually.

Staff who work directly with children, shall annually attend the department's health and safety update course.
Staff #4, employed for over 2 years, and was working alone in a classroom with children, did not attend the department's annual health and safety update course.

Plan of Correction: Staff #4 was a substitute from our other location where the training is not a requirement. She started the Health and Safety training on the date of the licensing visit 03/02/2026 and completed it on the next day 03/03/2026.
