Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 05/17/2022. There were 19 children, ages 3 years-5 years, and 5 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staff qualifications and trainings, staffing and supervision, physical plant, programs, emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed in free choice activities, learning time, having a morning snack, and during outside play. A total of 5 children?s records, 5 staff records, and 2 medications were reviewed. The inspector discussed the following with the staff: cleaning materials, fall zones, children?s allergies and medication requirements. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 8:45 am and departed at 10:45 am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Based on observation and discussion with staff, the center failed to ensure that children?s hands shall be washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals and snacks.

Evidence: Child 2 was observed finishing their morning snack, throwing away their trash and immediately going to play. Child 2 did not wash their hands with soap and running water or a disposable wipe after eating a snack.
Plan of Correction: Will set a routine or use a wipe.
