8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Child Day Centers

Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 07/10/2023 from 9:30am to 11:30 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of sixty-three children were present with thirteen staff. Children were observed participating in group play, painting with blocks and outside play. Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed. Programming, attendance, menus, emergency procedures, 5 children?s records and 5 staff records were reviewed. No medication was on site.

A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
