Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm. There were 87 children in care being supervised by 18 staff. The children were observed eating lunch, playing outdoors, and participating in structured center activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of six child records and four staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of medication it was determined that not all procedures in regards to medication were followed. Evidence: The medication on site for child A did not have a prescription label to identify the child, frequency, and dosage of the medication.
Plan of Correction: Administration will request a prescription label for the medication from the parents of child A.
