Inspector Notes

The purpose of today?s visit was a routine unannounced monitoring visit. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the Director. The Director accompany Licensing on walk-through. There were a total of 59 children with 10 staff members present. Children were observed resting. Staff were actively engaged and interactive with the children that were awake.

The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of staff records, the applicant did not authorize the center to obtain copy of results of a child abuse and neglect registry from any state in which the staff has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 lived in Florida (FL) within the last 5 years. The results of central registry check was not obtained from FL.
2. Staff #1 license was reissued a Florida license in 2019.
Plan of Correction: Already submitted a Florida state background check. Will email a copy when it returns.
