Inspector Notes

A Code compliance monitoring inspection was initiated on 12/1/2022 and concluded on 12/1/2022. There were 45 children present with 13 staff supervising, one kitchen staff and the director. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and three staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 11:30 am and concluded at 12:40 pm.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a tour of the building and interviews with staff #1, the facility failed to ensure
that a staff member is regularly present with each group of children.
Evidence:
1. The nap room had five children under the age of 16 months. The door was closed and the staff person was sitting at a table in the middle infant room beside the door.
Plan of Correction: The director will ensure that a staff member will be regularly present with all children.

Based on observation the center failed to ensure that the one staff member to four children from ages zero to 16 months is followed.
Evidence:
In the infant napping rooms one staff member was in charge of six infants.
Plan of Correction: The director will ensure that ratios are met at all times.
