Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted on May 9, 2022. There were 74 children present, with 13 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Based on observation, not all cots are identified for use by a specific child.
Evidence
Cots located in the Intermediates and Beginners classrooms were not all labeled for individual use.
Plan of Correction: We will label them today.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
Based on observation the diapering surface was not cleaned with soap and at least room temperature water and sanitized after each use.
Evidence
The diapering surface was sanitized after each use, but was not cleaned first.
Plan of Correction: We will review the diapering procedure with all staff. The diapering surface will be cleaned with a spray solution of soap and water, patted dry, sprayed with a solution of bleach and water and allowed to air dry.
