Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted on November 14, 2023 approximately 11:20 am to 1:00 pm. There were a total of 83 children with 19 staff members present. Children were observed during resting and eating lunch (meatballs, peas, pasta, fruit and milk). The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication were on-site, special care and emergencies and nutrition.

A total of 8 child records and 7 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on interview and a review of one staff member?s record the Director did not deny continued employment after a Virginia Central Registry finding was not received within 30 days.
Evidence:
Staff member 4 has been employed since June 5, 2023 but does not have documentation of results of a search of the child abuse and neglect from Virginia.

Based on staff records review, 1 out of 7 records, the center did not ensure program leaders have fulfilled a high school program completion or the equivalent.
