Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on May 19, 2021 and concluded on May 25, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 45 children present and 10 staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on review of staff records, the facility did not ensure staff completed the Annual Virginia Health and Safety Updated training for child care staff required annually of subsidy vendors and their staff.
