Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted Monday November 28, 2022 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection began at 10:15 AM and concluded at 12:30 PM. The center's director was available to answer questions throughout the inspection. The census for today's inspection consisted of 31 children in care and 6 staff supervising. During the tour, the inspector observed the children, playing with age appropriate material, completing a worksheet, and interacting with peers and staff. The inspector observed all 5 classrooms, playgrounds, kitchen, and restrooms. Staff were observed interacting with children in a positive manner. The classrooms are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials. The center's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The required postings were inspected and found to be in compliance. Liability insurance, health inspection, and drills were all in compliance. There were five children's records and five staff records reviewed. Violations were cited during this inspection. Based on observation, the center failed to ensure sinks located near the toilets and that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120?F. Evidence: Hot water temperature in the bathroom sink used by the children in care registered 133?F. Hot water temperature exceeds 120?F requirement.
Plan of Correction: Will have checked tomorrow.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure the diapering surface shall be cleaned and sanitized after each use. Evidence: The licensing Inspector observed diapering procedures for one child. Diapering surface was not cleaned and sanitized after use.
