Inspector Notes

A complaint investigation regarding staff:child ratios was conducted on 6/23/2022. The Inspector completed staff interviews and a review of multiple attendance records on this day.

After careful review of all available information, the complaint was deemed valid.

Ongoing compliance with the Minimum Standards is the responsibility of the licensee.

Based on staff interviews and a review of attendance records, it was determined that one class of 4 year olds operated beyond the allowable staff:child ratio of 1:10.
Evidence:
On 6/21/2022 the PK1 class operated beyond the allowable ratio of 1 staff:10 children. Between 8:30am and 9:00am, staff person A stepped out of the classroom approximately 3 times leaving staff person B with more than 10 children. Staff person A stepped out for approximately 4-5 minutes each time.
Plan of Correction: This issue was immediately fixed as of 6/22/2022. Staffing patterns were changed by having staff arrive earlier in the morning so that all classes always operate within the correct ratios.
