Violations

2
Standard 8VAC20-780-350-Q
Based on staff interviews it was determined that the children have been repeatedly reassigned to classrooms other than their own, in an effort to meet required staff:child ratios.
Evidence:
Multiple staff reported to the Inspector that routinely throughout the past 7 - 10 days children have been moved from their assigned classroom to another classroom in and effort to try and meet staff:child ratios.
Plan of Correction: Staff from other sites have been called in to work at this site until additional staff can be hired. We are currently doing a "hiring blitz" and plan to hire the staff that are currently needed as well as extra staff. Children will no longer be moved out of their classrooms in order to meet ratios.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-M
Based on observations it was determined that children were allowed to walk around while eating and drinking.
Evidence:
The two year old children in the Beginner B classroom were observed walking around while eating snack and drinking from their water bottles.
Plan of Correction: The children will sit at the table to eat and drink at all times.
