During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on October 2, 204 and completed on October 16, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 10:55 am and ended at 12:45 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 64 children present and 16 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 6 staff records on-site on October 2, 2024.
This inspection included document review and tour of the facility. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on October 23, 2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-780-320-B
Centers must have sinks lcoated near the toilets and that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120F.
Evidence:
1.In the Prek B and Beginners B classrooms the water was cold after running for three minutes. The temperatures were 73.5 in the bathrooms.
Plan of Correction: Will the temperature hotten on water hearter and call a teen if upnable to do so.
Standard 8VAC20-780-430-B
Centers must provide a sufficient quantity and variety of play materials and equipment that shall be readily accessible to children.

Evidence:
1. In the Toddler B classroom, there were 8 children, sufficient quantity and variety of play materials and equipment for children.
2. In the Beginners B classroom, there were 9 children, who played in two center areas. There was not sufficient of play equipment for the children to play in other areas of the classroom.

In group and individual play, 9 out of the 11 children were playing with blocks and one pushed toy. The children grabbed and shoved each other for the push a large sit on car onto a few children. Staff did not provide a variety of play materials to play with until suggested by Licensing.
Plan of Correction: Will purchase materials on 10/2 for classrooms.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
Centers must keep a separate record for each child enrolled that contains all of the required information.

Evidence:
Child #2's record (enrolled two weeks) was missing second designated persont to call in an emergency if a parent cannot be reached.
Plan of Correction: Family is military; will inform parents to provide employer/supervisor contact to emergency
