Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 3/27/2026. The on-site inspection began at 10:50 AM and ended at 12:10 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 21 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, a tour of the facility, interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances, such as cleaning materials, shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

1. Two bottles labeled "sanitizer" were observed sitting on top of the paper towel dispensers in the infant classroom.
2. A cabinet full of various cleaning agents was observed in an unlocked cabinet in the preschool classroom.
Plan of Correction: Bottles were moved to a locked cabinet during the inspection.

Medication shall be labeled with the childs name.

An over-the-counter medication for child #2 was not labeled with the childs name.
