The center shall ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, are maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. The vinyl material of small chairs and a play mat were peeling off the equipment.

Standard 8VAC20-780-40-E
The operational responsibilities of the licensee shall include ensuring that the center's activities, services, and facilities are maintained in compliance with these standards, the center's own policies and procedures that are required by these standards, and the terms of the current license issued by the department. The center's license indicates that children are to be cared for in the mobile units. The center has been providing care to children in the cafeteria of the Primary School since August 6, 2025.
Plan of Correction: Submit a license modification request to include the cafeteria at NGPS, including fire inspection report, sanitation report, floor plans, and a certificate of occupancy.

Children's hands shall be washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes after eating meals or snacks. The children returned from lunch and didn't wash their hands.
Plan of Correction: Staff will be re-educated in handwashing practices.
