Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on March 3, 2023. There were 50 children present, with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence
In the main area, white out (keep out of reach of children) was located in an unlocked cabinet, making it accessible to children.
In the secondary room, spray paint (keep out of reach of children) was located in an unlocked closet making it accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: We will move the white out and make sure the closet is locked.

Based on observation, when food is brought from home, it was not labeled with child's name and date.
Evidence
All of the lunch boxes brought from home were not labeled with a child's name and current date.
