Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews.

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on 11-5-21 and concluded on 11-12-21. There were 28 children present with eight staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a review of staff files, the facility failed to ensure that all staff complete orientation training prior to working alone with children and within seven days of employment.
Evidence:
1. Files for staff #1-4 do not have documentation of orientation training.
Plan of Correction: All employees will have an orientation training within the week.
