Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 05/07/2025. The on-site inspection began at 11:05 a.m. and ended at 1:55 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were
86 children present and 14 staff. The inspector reviewed 7 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations, and measurements.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-440-E
There shall be at least 12 inches of space between occupied cots, beds or rest mats.

In room 020, there were 2 occupied rest mats that were spaced approximately 2 inches apart and room 010, there were 3 occupied rest mats that were spaced approximately 2 inches apart.
Plan of Correction: Rest mats were moved during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-80-A
For each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on 05/07/2025, there were 9 children present in the Growing Learners room, but 15 were marked present on the attendance record.
Plan of Correction: Admin will review the attendance tracking sheet and the process.
