Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed from 1:15pm until 3:00. There were 5 children in care with 3 staff present.

The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 staff records and 5 children?s records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review, staff did not have the required orientation completed.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1, #4, and #3 did have orientation documented with all the required elements.
Plan of Correction: The model from will be used and the director will work with HR to make sure this from is completed.
Standard 8VAC20-780-270-C
Based on temperature reading, the inside temperature was 66 degrees.
Evidence:
1. The thermostat reading as 66 degrees.
Plan of Correction: the director spoke with staff and reminded them of the temperature requirements. They were also reminded to turn the temperature up in the morning.
