Inspector Notes

An unannounced inspection was initiated on 04/01/2025 and completed on 07/14/2025, with local agencies, in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 03/24/2025 relating to allegations of forbidden action, special feeding, and illness.

The inspector reviewed one child?s record and five staff records on site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations.

The preponderance of evidence gathered during the investigation supports part of the allegations; therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 07/21/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-780-340-A
When staff are supervising children, they shall always ensure their care, protection, and guidance.

On 02/21/2025, food containing honey was served to child #1, age 10 months. According to The Child and Adult Care Food Program, honey products are not to be served to children under the age of one.
Plan of Correction: As soon as this was brought to our attention, we quickly responded by immediately pulling that item from rotation and replaced it with a graham cracker that had no honey as an ingredient.
