Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on July 30, 2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 12:00pm and ended at 1:00pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were no children present and one caregiver; the point total was zero. The inspector reviewed six children?s records and six caregiver/household member(s) records on-site.
This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 22.1-289.011-F
The license and other documents required by the Superintendent shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the license premises.

The most recent violation notice and inspection summary were not posted on the licensed premises. The violation notice posted was dated for 8/26/2024. The last inspection took place on 3/20/2025.
Plan of Correction: The provider will post the most recent violation notice and inspection summary. Moving forward, the provider will ensure to print the most recent inspection summary and post immediately after signing.
Standard 8VAC20-800-920
When meals or snacks are provided by the family day home, the menu for the current one-week period shall be dated.

The menu for the current one-week period was not dated with the current date. The menu was still dated for the week of April 13-18 2025.
Plan of Correction: The provider corrected the dates on the menu at the time of the inspection. Moving forward, the provider will ensure to date the current one-week menu every Monday morning.
