Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 01/19/2023 from 11:45 am - 1:50 pm. At the time of entrance there were 18 children in care with four teaching staff. The children ranged in age from two years - five years. Children were observed preparing for lunch and during nap. Records were reviewed for three children and four staff.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the center failed to obtain a copy of the results of a search of the child abuse and neglect registry or equivalent registry from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years.

Evidence:
1. Staff 1, hire date 08/01/2022, lacks the results of a central registry check from another state she has resided in within the past five years.
2. Administrative staff verified that a central registry check from another state had not been requested for staff 1.
Plan of Correction: Administrative staff stated that an out-of-state central registry check will be requested for staff 1.
