Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 09/18/2023 from 9:45am to 12:25pm. There were 71 children ages 6 weeks to age 4 years old supervised by 17 staff. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, attendance, menus, 5 staff records, 6 children?s records, 7 medications with corresponding authorization records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed. Children were observed participating in literacy activities, art, reading and outside play. Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed. There was an adequate number of staff present with current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT), CPR and First Aid, and Daily Health Observation (DHO) training. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

(Repeat Violation) Based on review of 6 child records, the provider did not ensure they had a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

Evidence: The record for Child #6 did not contain an allergy care plan for their physician diagnosed food allergy.
Plan of Correction: Obtain Allergy Care plan for all children with diagnosed food allergy.
