Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. It is a teacher work day.
At LI arrival there was one staff with 2 children present. By the end of the inspection, there were 7 children present.
3 staff records were reviewed for specific items only, as the full record is reviewed at the main office at another time.
3 child records were reviewed. See Violation Notice for n on-compliances cited.
Children were observed arriving to the center, washing hands, playing with a variety of toys and games, painting flower pots and eating breakfast.

Based on observation and staff statement, when children were present, there was not two staff members present in the center.
Evidence:
At LI arrival (7:15 AM) there were 2 children present with one staff member.
Staff stated a second staff member was not scheduled to arrive until 9:45AM.
There were 7 children present by the end of the inspection.
