Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 9/18/23 from 10:30am to 12:05pm with the provider who was present with one assistant. There were seven children in care, ranging in age from three-months to four-years-old, for a total of 18 points. Children were observed having free play, cleaning up, reading and discussing ?The Very Hungry Caterpillar? book, and coloring. One infant was observed napping. Three child records and three caregiver records were reviewed. The provider and two assistants have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The emergency drill log and attendance were also reviewed. The provider reported that there were no medications on site for children, but the provider has current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). Based on review of three caregiver records and interview, the provider did not obtain the results of a fingerprint-based criminal history record check or the results of a search of the central registry every five years from the date of the last check. Evidence: The central registry results on record for Caregiver C were dated 2/11/16. The fingerprint results on record for Caregiver B were dated 4/26/18. The provider could not locate her fingerprint results but reported that she had not had them redone since she originally obtained them in early 2018.
