Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 9/18/23 from 10:30am to 12:05pm with the provider who was present with one assistant. There were seven children in care, ranging in age from three-months to four-years-old, for a total of 18 points. Children were observed having free play, cleaning up, reading and discussing ?The Very Hungry Caterpillar? book, and coloring. One infant was observed napping. Three child records and three caregiver records were reviewed. The provider and two assistants have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The emergency drill log and attendance were also reviewed. The provider reported that there were no medications on site for children, but the provider has current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). Children bring their meals from home. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
