Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a health pandemic.

A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on 1/25/22 and concluded on 1/27/22. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 57 children with 14 staff present. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined one violation with applicable subsidy regulations. A violation notice was issued.

Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A-8
Based on interview and a review of children's records, it was determined that there were no allergy care plans for 5 children with diagnosed food allergies.
Evidence:
Child A has an allergy to eggs and diary, child B has an allergy to dairy, eggs, fish and grains, child C has an allergy to milk, child D has an allergy to milk and child E has an allergy to gluten. The center was unable to provide an allergy care plan for these five children.
Plan of Correction: I will have the parents physician fill out the allergy care plan.
