Inspector Notes

An in-person code compliance inspection was conducted on February 27, 2023 from 11:20am until 12:00pm. There were 56 children in care, ranging in ages from 3 to 5 years, with 10 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and medication. A total of 5 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on record review, staff who have resided outside the state of Virginia in the preceding 5 years do not have all required background checks.

Evidence: Staff 1 does not have a completed out of state sex offender check or an out of state central registry check. (DOH 8/18/2022)
