Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted on 11/08/2023. 8 children (23pts) were in attendance with the 2 Caregivers. The physical space, 3 children's records, Provider/household member/caregiver documents, posted documents, evacuation drills, attendance records and other required documents were reviewed. Medications and pet documents were in compliance.. Children were observed interacting with the caregivers and finishing with lunch. Age appropriate projects and developmentally appropriate materials were available throughout the space for the children. Bottles, the changing table, cots and linens were all in compliance. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the Violation Notice issued to the program. Based on records review, and interview with the Provider, there were missing 5 year repeat checks in 2 out of 3 records. Evidence: The Central Registry Searches for Household member A and Caregiver A both expired in March of 2023.The current Sworn Disclosure Statement for Household Member A was not available for review.
Plan of Correction: I will update the background checks as soon as possible.
Standard 8VAC20-800-180-A
Based on record review, and interview with the Provider, the subsequent follow up tuberculosis screenings were not conducted within two years from the date of the previous screenings. Evidence: The screening for 2 out of 3 records reviewed were expired. Household member A and Caregiver A did not have up to date records.
Plan of Correction: I will obtain the updated screenings as soon as possible.
