Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 6/5/2024 from 9:30 am to 10:36am. At the time of the inspection there were 10 children in care totaling 24 points and 3 caregivers including the provider. Children were observed washing hands and eating breakfast. Four children?s records and four caregiver/household members records were reviewed. The outside play space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills and other required records were also reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice and discussed during the exit interview.

Based on observation and interviews, it was determined the provider did not ensure that areas and furnishings of the family day home, inside and outside, were maintained in a safe, and operable condition. Unsafe conditions include, visible cracks, bending or warping, rusting, or breakage of any equipment;
Evidence:
1. The trim material around the outside door frame that opens up to the playground, was cracked and broken approximately 6 inches.
2. The provider confirmed the trim was cracked.
Plan of Correction: The provider covered the cracked trim work during the inspection.
