8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Inspector Notes
An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on July 8, 2024 from approximately 2:40 pm to 4:00 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, household members, physical environment and equipment, emergencies, caregiver training, preventing the spread of disease and nutrition. The provider record, 1 assistant record, and 6 children?s records were reviewed. All areas of the home were observed and areas where the children are cared for were inspected. There were 6 children in attendance for a total of 11 points. The children were observed taking a nap, eating snack, and playing with new light up toys while the inspector was on the premises.
A complete licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in the licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
