Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 03/07/2023. There were 3 children, ages 17 months-2 years, totaling 8 points, and 1 provider present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of personnel, caregiver training, physical environment and equipment, emergencies, nutrition and background checks. A total of 5 children?s records and 1 provider record were reviewed. The inspector discussed upcoming expirations and pets with the provider. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 9:15 am and departed at 10:30 am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Based on observations, the provider failed to ensure that when meals or snacks are provided by the family day home, the menu for the current one-week period shall be dated; given to parents or posted in an area accessible to parents; list any substituted foods; and kept on file one week at the family day home.

Evidence: The posted menu for the current one-week period of March 6-10 was not complete. The menu was missing the following: the AM Snack provided on 03/07/2023; and the breakfast and afternoon snacks for Wednesday-Friday.
Plan of Correction: Will complete the menu today.
