Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and an on-site tour of the program.

A renewal inspection was initiated on February 7, 2022 and concluded on February 22, 2022. The director was contacted by telephone and an on-site inspection was conducted. There were 24 children present, ranging in ages from infant to four years old, with six staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three child records and three staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

Evidence:
1. At the bottom of the stairs leading to classroom #4, there was a hole in the wall with exposed dry wall.
2. The Director stated that she was aware of the hole in the drywall.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure that all hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:
In bathroom #1, there was one container of Clorox labeled ?Caution? and ?Hazard?, one container of air wick lavender spray labeled ?Keep Out of Reach of Children,? ?Caution,? and ?Hazard?, and one bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol labeled ?Flammable,? Caution,? and ?Keep Out of Reach of Children? in a cabinet accessible by children
